Lumbercore is continuously upgrading various parts of its software package. Some of the more important enhancements include the ability to use
handheld devices to manage inventory providing the ability to more easily perform inventory counts as well as to more easily and accurately receive inventory.
Lumbercore is also developing EDI ability for LMC members. This has been initiated by PD Humphrey and their status as a pilot site for the technology. The project will result in LMC receiving disbursement
notices from a member as well as sending invoices electronically. Their will be monetary incentives from LMC to those members who adopt this technology.
One of Lumbercore’s members, JBR Building Supplies, will soon be rolling out its e-commerce site developed by Lansa. This very robust site will offer JBR’s contractors the ability to check inventory and place
online orders with complete integration with the Lumbercore system.
